On the wiki of Mandriva have been published about the first Mandriva 2008.1 (aka Mandriva Spring 2008): This course is the road map and a list of technical features that should be implemented in new release of Mandriva.
The main innovations include the use of sound server PulseAudio, a switch to the new fork of RPM (also used by openSUSE and Fedora), a parental control, support for importing mail (Windows Migration Tool), automatic configuration of the repository via geoip, integrated backup, introduction of AppArmor and more.
