Icons disappeared in OpenOffice

Posted by: admin (Aug 1)

In openoffice if one day you find more the shadow of an icon (the menus and toolbars for instance) do not despair. Probably the default set of icons for OpenOffice is not installed, and having changed its theme or icon set our suite of programs for the office was sad and stripped of their dignity icons.

If you are on Ubuntu (but the concept also applies to other distros) you can retrieve the package openoffice.org-style-default through Synaptic or from the terminal:

sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-style-default

Once this is done will return your icons in place, possibly you can configure the automatic view cos:: Start openoffice, revenue in the tools menu -> options -> view, under the symbol size and style puts both cases automatically.
