Google Knol vs. Wikipedia

Posted by: admin (Dec 15)

It will be called Knol Encyclopedia of Google, a model of free participation in the collection of knowledge similar to Wikipedia. Google Knol (short for Knowledge) will have a fully similar to the more illustrious rival, only that will put greater emphasis on the authors of each item.

Unlike Wikipedia (you strength of anonymity and corrections continue to create a sort of "voice of the" anonymous and indistinct in its community), Google Knol will try the exact opposite, creating a system of accountability for which each item will be attributable to an author, although the notion that at any moment can be changed by anyone.

The system is now in a beta phase and is private, not even one page is viewable. The various screen shoots that move could be very different from the final work and therefore not present. In conclusion, the goal is to knool cover any area, the articles dealing with any field but the real difference with Wikipedia is the ease with which everybody can write an article, there will be no veto and no responsibility is left to the author.
